June 21st, 2009 - Surrendered, Submitted, and Committed

Surrendered, Submitted, and Committed to Jesus our Lord and Savior

Can this ever be possible? I believe it can, but it is a lifelong process, and in that process comes the commitment.

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Philippians 1:6 KJV

The commitment in this is that we walk by faith and not by sight that even as the Lord is performing this work and we do not see the fruit of it at times, that we trust and obey that it is the Lord’s way and not ours. Sometimes obeying the Holy Spirit is more important than doing the right thing because it seems right and it should make things better.

The enemy has a plot against us. Although that may be true, the truth is that this is the very plot the Lord will triumph over and get all the glory. Meaning we lay every part of our life down before the Lord, surrender, submit, and make a full commitment to trust Jesus, then he can finish the work he started even if that means the Lord allows the enemy to intimidate, because this is the exact plot: INTIMIDATION. The devil cannot take our salvation but the he can play with our minds, so I pray as the unified remnant and body of Christ we corporately warfare against this very lie. We need not fear for as 2 Timothy 1:7 says – “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” The very things the enemy tries to attack with fear.

In allowing the Holy Spirit to take complete control of our lives, and us living our lives completely for Him, not ourselves, then there is nothing to fear, because the Lord’s will will be done.
